This is Long time ago question and today, there are still many guys meet the Verizon LG versa ringtones problems, cuz the Lg Versa does not re-build the ringtone index automaticly.
so what is the best solution/?
get the music on the SD card by syncing with WMP. It works pretty nice, and it does put them in folders, with album art if have it. On the ringtones, under media (not systemfiles) with not the latest version I was able to get ringtones on the LG Versa.

if the download mp3 is playble, but you can not set the mp3 as ringtones, that is because the file over-sized the 300K limit of ringtones. Find software to cut the size of that Mp3 file less than 300K is ok.
